Thanks to some new projects being pushed ahead, we're starting to ramp up documentation to ensure that newer clients get the proper protocol specs to enable them to work with both old AND new servers. One advancement recently was within the client "[[Pitbull Pro]]" which added the ability to handle files larger than 4GB. There are two clients currently being worked on. One for Mac OS X and another for Windows (although written in Qt). Hotline Wiki is a collaboration of everyone on the Hotline community.
